Chalan Tamang

Originally from Melamchi, recently completed his diploma in Information Technology. He currently serves as the Admin Assistant at HELP, where he plays a key role in managing day-to-day administrative tasks and supporting program coordination, as well as working as the Field Coordinator of School in a Bag. With a strong technical background and commitment to community development, Chalan contributes to HELP’s efforts to enhance education and livelihoods in the region.

Chalan’s connection with HELP goes back to his childhood. During his primary school years in Melamchi, HELP was actively involved in school building projects and the School in a Bag initiative. His own school was one of the beneficiaries, receiving school bags for students. These experiences left a lasting impact on him, inspiring his passion for education and motivating him to now serve as a School in a Bag Field Coordinator, giving back to the very community that once supported his own learning journey.
